Our Story
The Banyan Foundation is an organization based in Canada that aims to support educational programming for marginalized youth in the north, east and upcountry areas of Sri Lanka. We are currently partnered with St.John's Community College based in Batticaloa. All of our team members are former volunteers of the St.John’s Community College - having seen the benefits of the various programs first hand.
Our Partner
St.John’s Community College is an organization that offers holistic educational support for socially and economically disadvantaged youth from the north, east and upcountry regions of Sri Lanka. The College focuses on helping youth build a strong foundation for life, whilst also providing students the encouragement to practice democratic citizenship. The following programs are available through St.John’s Community College: The Vocational Training Centre, The Leadership Program and The Scholarship Program.
